Subscriber figures - 23/03/07

Telecom Italia had 32.4m mobile subscribers in Italy by the end of 2006, of which 4.2m are 3G.

China Telecom reports it had 224m fixed telephony users at the end of February, of which 30m are broadband.

China Mobile has added 4.9m new mobile subscribers in February to a total of 311m users. .

China Netcom added 190k fixed line users in February.

In India, there were some 1.1 new CDMA users and 4.9m new GSM subscribers in February. CDMA addition rate is about 25% of that of GSM additions.

MobileCom (Jordan) said its customer base has hit 1.5m subscribers.
