• Heavy Reading reports that the global carrier Ethernet switch/router market grew 16% in 4Q06 to $432m, and 105% to $1.45bn in 2006. ALU won 4 points market share in 4Q06. Leaders are Cisco, ALU, Huawei, Siemens and Nortel.

• According to Dell'Oro, Infinera led the worldwide 10Gbit/s long-haul DWDM market in 2006 with a almost 35% market share.
