Aircom has signed an agreement with Huawei to provide its Aircom Enterprise Suite (integrated software modules for planning, optimization, configuration and performance management, ) tp Ufone (Pakistan).

Sharp will supply HSDPA handsets to eMobile (Japan).

Alcatel-Lucent has received a contract from T-Mobile to deploy EDGE in its German network.

Motorola has signed an agreement with MTC Nambia to trial wind and solar power systems for GSM base stations.

Ericsson has been selected by Bangladeshi Grameenphone to build and integrate a complete IP national mobile backbone network. It will provide Telefonica Spain with an end-to-end mobile signature service.
