Reliance added 1.2m new subscribers in January to bring its total base to 28m.

CTI Movil ended 2006 with almost 11m mobile users in Argentina (over 10m alone), Paraguay and Urugay.

Claro (Chile) reports a total subscriber base of 2.4m at the end of 2006.

Bouygues Telecom (France) reports 8.7m mobile users at year-end, or a market share of almost 17%.

Yoigo (Spain) has registered more than 1,000 new users per day since it start operations in Dec. 06. It now has some 78k mobile users.

America Movil (Latam) ended 2006 with 125m subscribers worldwide, up 34%.

China has 800m phone users, of which 460m mobile and 340m fixed.

Millicom International had 15m subscribers worldwide at the end of 2006.
