Mobile infra revenues
Dell'Oro has released its study on the mobile infra market, including WiMAX. Revenues would show a steady growth over the next five years with a CAGR of about 2.4% to reach $45bn by 2011, from $40bn in 2006. WCDMA will continue to grow to about $27bn in 2011 from $7bn in 2006, becoming the leading technology by 2009, while GSM will gradually decline to about $12bn. The CDMA technology would lost ground, with operator shifting to WCDMA/HSDPA, and its revenues slowly declining to about $5bn by 2011. WiMAX is expected to grow at a CAGR of over 50% up to 2011, and its market is in the range of $1.5bn-$2bn in 2011.
