ATTQ06 results

ATT announced 4Q06 net income rising 17% to $1.9bn, on revenues of $15.9bn, up 23%. Bellsouth reported separate net income of $1.2bn, up 29%, on revenues of $9.1bn, up 5%. ATT wireline business posted revenues of $14.5bn, up 22%, while mobile revenues (Cingular) were $9.8bn, up 10% with net income of $782m, up 283%. On a proforma basis, wireline revenue fell 4.3% . Cingular Wireless said its 4Q06 profit grew 285% to $782m and revenues grew 10% to $9.8bn, of which $8.8bn in services. Operating income was $1.3bn, up 136%. For the year, Cingular announced revenues of $34.4bn (up 9%), and net income of $4.2bn, up 64%.

For the year, ATT reported $7.4bn in net income, up 54%, on revenues of $63bn, up 44%.
