Yahoo reports 4Q06 earnings of $269m, operating profit of $308m, down 6%, on revenues of $1.7bn, up 13%, exceeding expectations.

SK Telecom reports worse-than-expected 4Q06 earnings of $297m, down 38%, on sales of $2.9bn, up 5%. The operating profit went down 18% to $575m on huge marketing expenses and subsidies. Full year earnings amounted to $1.5bn, down 23%, on sales of $11.3bn.

KT (S. Korea) announced lower than expected results with net income at $188m, 15% below consensus, with sales down 1% to $ 3bn.

Ebay reports a 4Q06 net income of $346m, up 24%, on revenues of $1.7bn, up 29%. The results are better than expected.

Batelco (Bahrain) announced 4.4% increase in 2006 net income to $237m, on annual revenues of $624m, up 11%.

STC (Saudi Arabia) reports almost 15% decline in 4Q06 net profit to $744m. Annual revenues were up 4% to $9bn, and profit was up 3% to $3.2bn.

M1 (Singapore) said its its 4Q06 earnings rose 8% to $26m.

ATT announced 4Q06 net income rising 17% to $1.9bn, on revenues of $15.9bn, up 23%.

KDDI (Japan) reports 4Q06 group profit down 2% to $457m, on revenues of $7.1bn, up 13%. KDDI attributed the profit fall to a decline in operating income, due to booming demand for phones following the mobile number portability.

Bharti Airtel (India) reported better than expected results: 4Q06 revenues of $1.1bn, up 62%, and net income of $275m, up 123%.

AsiaInfo posted 4Q06 net profit of $2.1m (vs loss last year) and revenues of $25m, up 58%.
