Virgin Mobile USA finished 2006 with 4.6m mobile subscribers, up 600,000 in 8 months.

The Dominican Republic reported a 17% increase in mobile subscribers in nine months to 4.3m.

MetroPCS (USA) had 2.6m subscribers at the end of September 2006, up 50%.

Hanaro Telecom said it had 200,00 IPTV subscribers at year-end, double of the Nov. figure, but missing its target by 50,000.

SFR (France) announced 2.5m 3G/HSDPA customers by the end of 2006.

Poland is expected to have more than 7m broadband customers by end-2006.

MTN Nigeria had 10.4m users by the end of September 2006.

Mobilkom (Austria) had 3.6m mobile subscribers by the end of 2006.
