Subscriber figures - 30/12/06

SibirTelecom (Russia) reports 3m mobile users (+50%) at the end of Nov.

China had 455m mobile users by the end of Nov. (+ ca 62m new users since 01-01-06). It also has 132m Internet users.

Vietnam has added 10m new telephone subscribers in 2006 (+188%). It has 25.5m telephone lines, 4m internet subscribers.

There are 150m 3G users worldwide, of which 100m are WCDMA (UMTS) at the end of 2006.
