Mobile contracts - 12/12/06

Pantech would provide 3.5m mobile handsets to Cigular in the USA. Pantech delivered about 1m mobile phones this year to Cingular.

Huawei has signed a contract with the Federated States of Micronesia Telecommunications Corporation (FSMTC) for GSM/GPRS/EDGE upgrades.

Motorola has won a $75m contract to supply GSM gear to Nigerian mobile operator M-tel. It has also deployed an HLS server in Pakistan' s Mobilink network.

Alcatel-Lucent has deployed CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Revision A upgrade in Telecom NZ network.
