Technology: new mass storage
Sainul Abideen, an Indian student, has invented the sheet of paper as a new mass storage media when used with special characters and color. The technology, called Rainbow, does not use traditional bit format but uses geometrical forms (squares, circles, polygons,...) and color to write information. On a mere A4 sheet of paper, Rainbow can store up to 256Go, the capacity of a HD-DVD or Blu-ray. Of course, the technology needs an encoder, a scanner and a software to be used. If the technology goes through, it will be a very cheap mass storage media. Very interesting.
