T-Mobile USA announced it has served more than 450,000 unique paying customers across its Wi-Fi network during the last three months. Its hotspot customers can now access to more than 25,000 locations worldwide.

Japan's domestic shipments of mobile handsets fell about 5% to 3.3m units in April. 3G handset unit shipment grew 23% while 2G handset unit shipment fell 35%. Japan had 91.9m mobile users in April.

Megafon (Russia) had 16.2m mobile users as of April 30.
