Juniper finally announced an IPTV solution on its E-series routers. The E320 comes with 320 Gbit/s of switching capacity, the ability to support 128,000 subscribers and is designed with video in mind, adding the quality of service (QOS) and high availability.

Tekelec and Occam are partnering for triple-play deployments as a fully integrated part of the Tekelec switching product portfolio.

Nokia and Intel will collaborate on the development of WiMAX for mobile applications.

Alvarion announced the extension of its BreezeMAX products to include the WCS (2.3 Ghz)

Alcatel launched the 5750 Subscriber Services Controller (SSC). It allows the carrier to manage subscriber services, and also enables customers to self-provision services from customer profile Web pages. Bridgewater provides its Dynamic Broadband Manager and AAA Service Controller to Alcatel.

Nortel teams with Calix (ANSI markets) and KEYMILE(ETSI markets) to introducing new voice gateway functionality to their broadband access products. It introduced during Supercomm advanced, next generation features for its optical network solutions, such as eROADM and eDCO.

Lucent and Orca Interactive are partnering to deliver market-ready IP television and video solution.

Microsoft and Harmonic are jointly working to deliver an integrated IP-based video solution encompassing IPTV solution from Microsoft and encoding platform from Harmonic.

Microsoft will trial its IPTV solution in France for T-Online. It is important to Microsoft, as it is only the third win for Microsoft in Europe, and only the eighth announced win worldwide.

IBM is entering the IPTV market and would work with partners, bringing back-office expertise, middleware software architecture built on open standards and service delivery platform. IBM does not exclude to work with Microsoft.
