Nokia won a $43m contract to expand the GSM network of China Mobile ZheJiang in China. It will provide radio and core network including softswitches, HLR, NetAct network and service management system. Nokia also won a $400m order from Bharti Airtel (India) to expand its network.

ZTE will upgrade China Unicom' s GSM network to GPRS .

Huawei has been selected by Etisalat for the building of its nationwide UMTS/HSPA network.
