Subscriber figures - 29/10/06

Colombia mobile subscriber base rose to over 29m in Sept., of which almost 19m from Comcel.

SK Telecom (Sth Korea) had 20m mobile subscribers at the end of Sept.

Millicom had 15m mobile subscribers in Sept., of which 2.2m in Ola (Colombia), 4.25m in Central America, 2m in South America; and operations in Africa, South Asia, and South East Asia.

Bharti Airtel (India) had 27.1m mobile subscribers at the end of Sept.

Telenor (Norway) reported it had 105m subscribers worldwide at the end of September.
