JDSU has been selected by Bellsouth to provide its WaveReady optical platform for passive optical transport in the loop portion.

ADVA will deploy its additional FSP 2000 CWDM systems in the Belgacom network, while Siemens will implement and integrate the equipment.

Tellabs received Bellsouth 's order for the deployment of its fiber-to-the-curb (FTTC) network. Tellabs is the exclusive supplier.

Redback will provide Bellsouth with Edge Aggregation Router for its network.

Huawei has signed an agreement with Etisalat of UAE to supply and install various telecom equipment and networks.

Nortel has received a $126m contract from Bell Mobility (Canada) for a 3G network. It is also providing the city of Taipei (Taiwan) with a wireless mesh solution with more than 10,000 access points.

Marconi has won a five-year framework contract with Network Rail to update its telecom systems in the southeast of England. The deal is worth about £ 15m.

Bigband signed deals with two cable operators (Delta N.V. in the Netherlands and US-based Wave Broadband) to deliver its Cuda CMTS (cable modem termination system) and FastFlow broadband provisioning manager (BPM).
