Subscriber figures - 07/10/06

South Korea has risen its mobile subscriber base to 39.7m at the end of September.

Spain reached 6m broadband connections as of August (+1m in 8 months), of which 4.7m were ADSL and 1.3m were cable.

Japan: DoCoMo mobile subscribers increased by 126k in Sept. 06 to a total of 52.1m, of which 29.1m are 3G; KDDI reported a net increase of 312k new users in Sept. to a total of 24.5m, of which 23.8 were 3G; Softbank said it added 23k new users to a total of 15.3m, of which 4.6m were 3G.

Idea Cellular (India) has crossed the 10m-customer mark .
