Zhone Technologies warned it will miss 3Q06 forecast. Revenues should fall some 22%, gross margin should loss 3 points. As a consequence, Zhone' s share dropped 22%.

RIM reported 3Q06 net profit up 27% to $141m on revenues of $658m, up 34%. RIM has a total of 6.2m (+13%) Blackberry users worldwide. Handhelds accounted for 72% of the quarterly revenue, service for 19%, and software for 6%.
