Kyivstar (Ukraine) announced that at the end of June it had 16m subscribers.

Telemig's user base in Brazil increased to 3.4m, up 13%.

Brazil 's mobile customer base reached 93m at the end of July.

Pakistan has reached 34.5m mobile user base in June.

MTS (Russia) had 65.7m mobile subscribers at the end of July.

TMN (Portugal) has 750,000 3G users (15% of its mobile base).

India passed 111m mobile subscriber base mark at the end of July.

Japan had 93.2m mobile users at the end of July, with DoCoMo having 51.8m, KDDI 26.1m and Vodafone KK some 15.3m.

China Mobile had 274m mobile subscribers at the end of June. China Unicom added 818k GSM subs. to a total of 101m and 245k CDMA new users to a total of 34.8m.

Venezuela: 15m mobile users in 2Q06, up 61%.
