DoCoMo is opening a $100m venture capital firm in California. DoCoMo Capital will invest mostly in US-based mobile technology companies and venture funds.

The Apax-Saban group won 30% of Bezeq (Israel) for $940m.

Telecom Malaysia is shortlisted for the acquisition of 26% of Pakistan's PTCL.

Chunghwa Telecom, Far EasTone Telecom and Taiwan Cellular will invest $732m, $258m, and $204m respectively to boost coverage and upgrade their networks this year.
