PC market

According to IDC, the 2Q06 worldwide PC sales grew almost 10%, and only 7% in Europe. For the first time in several years, Europe growth rate is below world growth rate. According to Gartner, PC sales in France grew only by 2.5% (1.7m units) and were down more than 4% in Germany. In France, HP holds about 20% of the market with 342k units (down 5%); Acer follows with 17% or almost 300k units (+37%); Dell is third with almost 16% or 269k units; NEC is fourth with about 11% and Lenovo with 5%.
