Time Warner reports 2Q06 net income of 24 cents per share (vs loss of 9 cents) on revenues up 1% to $10.7bn, below consensus. Cable revenues grew 15% to $2.7bn, while AOL revenues fell 11% to $2bn and lost almost 1m subscribers in the US.
KPN posts 2Q06 net profit up 100% to €464m, on sales of €3bn, up 1%.
Brazil Telecom announced 2Q06 net profit is up to $ 31m, up 43%, on sales of $120m, up 73%.
US Cellular saw its 2Q06 revenues growing by 11% to $739m, while the operating profit grew 86% to $72m.
Vonage reported poor financial results. $74m loss and $143m in revenues were both below expectations. Vonage share is now worth $7, below $17 at the inception.
SingTel (Singapore) announced 2Q06 net profit of $530m, up 10%.
AllTel (US) posted 2Q06 earnings of $429m, up 7%, on revenues of $2.7bn, up 18%.
TDC (Denmark) reports 2Q06 revenues are up 2% to €1.6bn and EBITDA is down 1% to €427m.
SK Telecom has revised down its forecast for 2006 profit by 10% to $4bn and revised upward its sales-to-marketing expenses ratio by 3 points to 20%+.
NTT reports an 18% drop in 2Q06 profit to $1.3bn, while sales grew 1% to $23bn.
Telekom Malaysia announced 1H06 earnings of $404m, up 44%, on revenues up 15% to $2.1bn.
Sprint Nextel posted 2Q06 profit of $370m, down 38%, while sales grew 76% to $10bn.
BCE (Canada) saw its 2Q06 profit falling by 16% to $476m, while total revenues were up 1% to $4.8bn.
Verizon reports its 2Q06 net profit was down 24% to $1.6bn, on revenues of $22.7bn (+26%) including MCI. Proforma operating income was up 12.3%.
CTI Movil (Latin America) reports $325m in revenues and $48m in earnings.
Illiad (France) announced 1H06 revenues of €448m, of which €388m in broadband services (+50%).
Teliasonera said its 2Q06 revenues grew 4.5% to SEK 22.7bn, while EBITDA grew 10% to SEK 7.9bn
Telemar (Brazil) reports $129m (+39%) in 2Q06 net profit on revenues of $1.85bn, up 1.5%. EBITDA was down 7% to $711m.
