A few set of market information released this week:

According to Informa, mobile data revenues rose 2% to $102bn in 2005.
According to Canalys, smart mobile device shipments rose by 55.5 % to 18.9m units in 2Q06.
In 2006, the Italian telecom market is estimated to be worth €36.8bn, of which €19.6 bn in mobile, according to the regulator Agcom.
According to IDC, 24m US mobile subcribers will be paying for some form of TV/video content and services on their mobile devices by 2010, up from about 7m in 2006. Overall, video ARPU is expected to settle in at about $6.5.
Analysys forecasts that annual shipments of mobile handsets will reach 1.5bn worldwide in 2011, of which 50%+ in Voice-centric handsets, 30% in Converged-function handsets.
The WiMAX equipment market is set to reach $3.2bn by 2010, according to RNCOS, up from $41m in 2005..
