Alcatel will provide SingTel (Singapore) with a gigabit passive optical networking (GPON) trial and a residential Metro Ethernet trial in Singapore. It will provide Delta Telecom, a cellular operator in Russia who operates under the Sky Link brand, with optical gear to modernize its backbone network in the city of St. Petersburg and the region.
