Global vendor strategies

Oracle is still hungry. Siebel could be the next pray. After PeopleSoft and Retek (bought in past few months), Oracle seems now interested in CRM-expert loss-making Siebel.

Ciena announced its strategy to address the mobile market in Europe, and specially the 3G market. It wants to help mobile operators building their RAN infrastructure networks.

Cisco is said to be interested in buying Irish startup Corvil.

EADS agreed to buy Nokia PMR business, including TETRA infrastructure and terminals.
