Tanzania: Mobile penetration could reach 10% (or 3m users) by the end of the year, and could reach 15% (or 5m users) by 2010. Current situation is 2.5m subscribers. Mobile is far ahead of fixed line penetration that can only count 150,000 land line holders. In one of the poorest countries, ARPU is about $12/mo, and handsets are often second hand devices.
