Tele2(Sweden)posted 1Q05 results of €1274m (+12%) in revenues and of €53m (down 29%) inearnings after tax.

SBCsaid that 1Q05 revenues grew 2% to $10.25bn, while earningsfell 53% to $885m. DSL revenues grew 28% to $493m, while voice services decline$127m in the quarter. Local phone service provided about 50% of total revenues or$5.1bn (down 3%). Broadband and data services grew 7% to $2.8bn. ARPU grew 8%thanks to broadband packages and bundling services.

Verizonposted 1Q05 earnings of $1.8bn on revenues of $18.2bn (up6.6%). Revenues are made of wireless ($7.4bn or 41% of total revenues) up 20%,domestic revenues ($9.5bn or 52% of total revenues) down 1%, broadband services($2.1bn or 11% of total) and long-distance services ($1.1bn). ARPU rose 4.6% to$50.

Iusacell(Mexico)reported 1Q05 revenues of $120m (up 21.6%) and an EBITDA of $24m (up 17%) and anet loss of $ 33m.  

KTF(S. Korea)posted 1Q05 revenues of $1.2bn (up 13%) and net earnings jumping 222% to $156m.

China Mobile reported 1Q05 revenues of $6.6bn (+30%), an EBITDA of $ 3.6bn(+22%) and net profit of $1.36bn (+20%).

Teliasoneraannounced €2.29bn in 1Q05 revenues (down 1% proforma), €792m in EBITDA (up4.5%) and € 392m (down 2%) in net income. Capexincreased 30% to $ 250m in the quarter.

Level3(USA)cuts its loss by about 50% to $77m on revenues of $1bn (up 12%).

Telenor(Norway)had revenues of €1.87bn (up 7%), EBITDA of €623m and profit before taxes of €344m.

SKTelecom (S. Korea)announced 2004 revenues of $9.4bn (down 2%), of which 91% in wireless. Netincome was $1.4bn (down 23%).

USLEC achieved 1Q05 revenues of $93m (up 10%), EBITDA of $12m(almost flat),operating loss of $1m and a net loss of $4.8m.

Rogers Communications(Canada)said its 1Q05 revenues increased 25% to $1.6bn, and loss dropped 41% to $46m.

China Telecomposted 1Q05 revenues of $4.9bn (+6%).

LGTelecom (S. Korea)reported 1Q05 revenues of $825m, up 7.4%, operating profit of $ 42m and a net profitof $22m. ARPU grew 6% to $37.

TIMBrazil reported a net profit of $33m, up 17%, on revenues of$ 260m, up 16%. EBITDA was $98m, up 15%.
