Undersea cable system

The current submarine cable system market cycle is perhaps close to an end after a five years downturn. A new 20,000km-long Trans-Pacific system (Asia-America Gateway) is planned and should be built between , HK, the , Guam, Hawaii and the , with branches into , , Brunei Darussalam and .  It should be completed in early 2008. The consortium behind includes Telekom , PLDT, StarHub, VNPT.
