ADC buys Andrew for $2bn
ADC and Andrew have entered into a definitive merger agreement to create a $3.3bn global wireline and mobile infrastructure solutions supplier. ADC will pay $2bn in stocks to acquire Andrew. The new company will have an interesting sales distribution, with 53% in NA, 29% in EMEA, 11% in APAC and 7% in Latam. 20,000 employees will work in the company. The deal makes sense, as the two companies are well complementary, wireline and wireless, should take opportunities in fixed-mobile convergence areas, and should be better positioned to assist its customers worldwide.
