Cisco is eying military space projects

In an unexpected move, Cisco is participating in a new military effort to create advanced satellite capacity and gain access to Internet-like services. The goal is to demonstrate the connection of satellites in orbit, use commercial IP router in space, demonstrate ways the military can benefit from such technologies and also teach armed forced dealing with IPR and complex licensing issues.
