Millicom International currently has 9m mobile subscribers in 16 countries in Latam, Africa and Asia.

Orascom Telecom has reported 35m mobile subscribers by the end of March, up 100%, but its proportionate subscriber base rose 121% to just below 27m.

Indian government plans 250m telephones by 2007, then 500m by 2010, vs 150m today.
