EU not satisfied with ICT competition

The EU Commission targets to push for more cross-border competition in European telecom sector, arguing its one-year request to governments to develop the usage of digital technologies has generated limited results. The two pillars of its strategy are stronger investment in information and communication technologies (ICT) and effective cross-border competition. Up to now, local governments have predominantly shielded their national champion(s) from foreign competition .
