Eircom (Ireland) could be bought, if some conditions are fulfilled, by Australian group Babcock for €2.4bn. After the transaction, Babcock could held 65% of the Irish incumbent.

The FCC has delayed the advanced wireless services (AWS) auction until August. More than 1,200 wireless licenses will be sold by the US Government.
