Telekom Malaysia will invest some $150m in two years in Sri Lanka through its local affiliate Dialog Telekom. Funds will be used to expand its fixed, mobile and broadband networks.

Orascom targets to take a controlling stake in Hutchison Telecom, and even is looking to a full merger  with HT, but stressed the process would take time. It is also looking to acquire TIM Hellas, Greece's third largest wireless operator.
