Vodafone wants to increase speed to market for its key content provider partners, through two new initiatives: the Global Games Marketing and Distribution Program and the Preferred Partner Program. Bharti (India) could open 3G service on a national level over the next 18 to 20 months. Bharti would need to invest around $1bn to upgrade its network to become 3G-enabled.

Tele.ring (Austria) could consider consolidation with its competitor ONE. Balkanization of the Austrian market (7 mobile operators and MVNOs for 8m population) is no more sustainable.
