Nokia has received a GSM network expansion order from Sichuan Unicom (China).

Nortel will provide provide GSM Railway (GSM-R) switching centers to the Ministry of Railways (MOR) to cover about half of MOR's national railway network.

Alcatel has carried out HSDPA field trial with Orange in in the Paris area (France). It will also deploy, for Orange, a converged fixed/ mobile solution using a bi-mode terminal GSM/ WiFI.
