T-Mobile UK will launch HSDPA upgrade of the 3G network in the summer.

SFR (France) is upgrading its 3G network to HSDPA to offer the service in the Western French region.

3 UK has signed a deal with Orange UK for roaming, following an auction for 3's national roaming business, at the expense of O2, the previous partner.

China Mobile and China Telecom are said to jointly build the country's first 3G TD-SCDMA network.

Bouygues Telecom is offering its subscribers “Mobile single”,a €3 per month service to hear music. Universal Music is the content provider.

Hutchison Australia plans to close its 2G network in August to focus on 3G.

Orange plans to open an office in Beijing, China, to closely work with handset manufacturers.
