Vendor results -10/05/06

Dell launched a profit warning for its FY1Q06. Its EPS should be down about 10%-15% to 33 cents, while revenues should be at the low end of its expectations at $14.2bn. Fierce competition and discounts are dragging results downwards.

Sonus posted 1Q06 revenues of $60m (up 79%) and a net income of $6m.

Avanex announced flat 1Q06 revenues at $40m, a net loss of $10m (+45% reduction).

Alvarion said its 1Q06 revenues declined 16% to $48m, and net loss was of $ 5m (vs a profit of 356k).
