Brazil: the number of residential internet users in Brazil reached 14m in March.
SFR (France) reported a total registered customer base of 17.3m (+8%) at the end of March, of which 1.35m are 3G. ARPU decreased 2% in past 12 months to $49.2. Mobile data revenues accounted for 13.5% of total revenues, driven by SMS and MMS. Data ARPU is at $6.3 (+14%).
Congo DRC (Africa) ended 2005 with 2.8m mobile subscribers.
Japanese cable operator Jupiter has 1.8m subscribers and some 2.1m with affiliates.
Telstra' BigPond broadband service has now more than 1m ADSL customers.
Ukraine has 33m mobile subscribers as of April 2006.
China Netcom had 12.6m broadband subscribers (+9.5%) as of end of March, and 118m fixed lines, up 2.3%, from the end of 2005.
