Motorola is considering buying Siemens' telecom equipment business, as a way to get the profit-bearing Mobile Network division of Com. It bought Orthogon Systems (Piping Hot Networks) to extend its broadband wireless reach. Motorola was already a distributor of Orthogon products through its Canopy business since 2004.
Amdocs is buying content download system vendor Qpass for $275m.
