Broadband DSL status
According to the latest research from Point-Topic, the number of DSL users is still growing, but already in some countries a saturation point is already reached. For example S. Korea saw first decline in DSL lines in use last year. European DSL lines grew by 40%+ (Germany, the UK, Spain, Italy and France), while US DSL lines grew only by 9%. Growth is modest in some Asian countries (Japan, Taiwan) and negative in S. Korea. Hopefully, China reported a 56% growth rate, reaching 26m lines, and having the largest number of DSL lines, ahead of the US with some 19m.
