Nortel strategy

Nortel is to integrate its carrier and enterprise units. The new unit will be called Converged Data Networks. Nortel also unveiled its strategic priorities for the next few years:

• focus on services,
• supply-chain effectiveness,
• revenue stimulation (including sales and pricing),
• R&D effectiveness,
• general and administrative effectiveness,
• organization and workforce effectiveness,
• increasing investment in IMS, WiMAX and IP TV
• and cost reduction
