Lucent finally won control of Riverstone for $207m, in spite of Ericsson attempt to win the deal. The agreement was approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
mPhase and some partners, including SkyStream, Latens, Entone and Triveni Digital, have unveiled a kit for telcos wanting to start IPTV service with low profile. With IPTV in a Box, the pieces are all pre-integrated, allowing overnight deployment, and costing about $750 per end user for a 1000 end-user system.
Nortel is partnering with Minerva for IPTV. They will integrate Nortel' s SIP and IMS capabilities with Minerva middleware products.
