Ericsson won Japan' s eAccess new 3G operator WCDMA/HSDPA network (core and radio) deployment. It gained a $55m expansion contract for Etisalat (UAE) GSM network.

Huawei will deploy a CDMA EV-DO network, the first in Africa, for Starcomms Nigeria.

Nortel got HSDPA order from Orange (FT France).

Datang and TD Tech will supply TD-SCDMA infra test network in Baoding (China) while

ZTE and TD Tech will supply equipment for the test in Xiamen; and

ZTE and Datang will provide the Qingdao test network.

Option NV will provide Telecom Italia Mobile with its GlobeTrotter 3G/EDGE ‘HSDPA-Ready’ data card.
