Infonetics reported that the number of DSL subscribers jumped 27% in 2005 to almost 126m.

Bharti Tele-Ventures (India) had a subscriber base of 18.5m (+6%) as of the end of February, while Hutchison Essar (India) had 14.5m (up 6%); BSNL had 16.1m (up 4.5%); MTNL 1.7m (+4.5%) and Reliance had 1.8m GSM subscriber base.

India: GSM subscriber base was 65.2m and CDMA base (including WLL subscribers) was 27.8m at the end of February. Cellular subscriber base reached 85m at the end of February.

O2 Germany currently has 10m mobile subscribers.
