MCI acquisition

MCI:  Qwest has made a new bid of $8.5bn to acquire MCI. The decision should be taken this week. According to the MCI answer, Verizon could make a counter offer, or Qwest could start a proxy fight that would culminate in the shareholder meeting scheduled in May.
