ALU signed a major contract with T-Mobile Germany to upgrade its network to EDGE. It also received a new contract from Globacom (Nigeria) to extend the network capacity and performance of its mobile and fixed networks. It will deploy an intelligent optical transport infrastructure for Tianjin Power, China. ALU will also deliver an end-to-end nationwide GSM/EDGE network to Africell Burundi. ALU Business Integrated Communications Solution (BiCS) portfolio has been selected by Belgacom as its preferred midmarket communications offer, and by Sennheiser Benelux.
