Infonetics reported its latest study on the DSL aggregation equipment market. In 2005, the segment grew 38% in number of ports to 82.3m, and 23% in revenues to $6.4bn. Alcatel maintains its top position in worldwide DSL aggregation revenue and port market share, followed by Huawei and Siemens. In the IP-based DSLAM sub-segment market, the fastest growing sub-segment with 124% growth rate in 2005, Alcatel is also leader in revenues and second in ports, while Huawei is leader in ports and second in revenues.
