GSA added that the number of GSM/EDGE devices grew to 212 models (+210%) in 2005, and the number of suppliers grew 153% to 33. The number of EDGE/WCDMA devices reached 34, while 64 operators commit to operate combined 3G WCDMA and EDGE networks, vs 23 in 2004. 10 devices support GSM/EDGE/WCDMA/HSDPA. Finally 186 operators in 97 countries are deploying GSM/EDGE networks.
