Google Talk connected to the PSTN

Another threat for telcos is coming from Google Talk, the Google VOIP service opened recently, but now extended to the PSTN world. Through an agreement with a US CLEC, VOIP Inc., VOIP calls on Google Talk can be redirect to the PSTN, making Google Talk less dependent on PC to PC calls and equivalent to Skype. VOIP competition is rising at the expense of traditional telcos.
